The Bibliography of Asian Studies (BAS) lists literature in Western languages (mainly English) on East, Southeast and South Asia, without any restriction to specific subject areas, but with a focus on literature in the humanities and social sciences. Up to the reporting year 1991, both monographs and journal articles are listed. From the reporting year 1992, only journals and other collected works (e.g. commemorative publications, conference proceedings) are evaluated.
