Deutsch-jüdische Quellen aus Palästina / Israel

Go to database

Palestine, or after 1948 Israel, plays a unique role among the destinations of German-Jewish immigration. Numerous German-language texts by important writers were published here, including Else Lasker-Schüler, Sammy Gronemann and Schalom Ben-Chorin. The database records the writings of immigrants across genres and contains around 1,500 bibliographic entries, of which over 250 are linked to their full texts.

Using the search category "Subject Areas", texts from the areas of politics, religion or literature, among others, can be found. There are also chronological research options that allow the user to quickly and comprehensively gain an overview of the political and cultural-historical debates of specific periods.
