Die Datenbank PSYNDEXplus enthält Nachweise zu psychologischer Literatur und Testverfahren aus den deutschsprachigen Ländern sowie psychologisch relevanten audiovisuellen Medien aus allen Gebieten der Psychologie einschließlich psychologisch relevanter Aspekte aus Nachbardisziplinen wie Psychiatrie, Medizin, Erziehungswissenschaft, Soziologie, Sportwissenschaft, Linguistik, Betriebswirtschaft, Kriminologie.

Im PSYNDEX-Segment PSYNDEX Literatur und AV-Medien werden deutsch- und englischsprachige Zeitschriftenaufsätze, Bücher, Sammelwerksbeiträge, Reports und Dissertationen von Autoren aus Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz sowie audiovisuelle Medien für die Aus- und Weiterbildung (u.a. die audiovisuellen Medien von IWF Wissen und Medien gGmbH, Video-Cooperative-Ruhr und FIM Psychologie) ausgewertet.

Alle Nachweise sind nach dem Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms verschlagwortet. Die Datenbank enthält inhaltsbeschreibende deutsche oder englische Schlüsselwörter sowie Abstracts in deutscher oder englischer Sprache.

Sie wird vom Leibniz-Zentrum für Psychologische Information und Dokumentation (ZPID) in Trier produziert. Das ZPID bietet auch weitere Informationen zu dieser Datenbank.
