History Vault: Struggle for Women's Rights: Organizational Records, 1880-1990

This module is comprised of records of three important women's rights organizations: the National Woman's Party (NWP), the League of Women Voters and the women's Action Alliance. The importance of the NWP as a women's rights group fighting for the suffrage amendment and then supporting the ERA cannot be understated. The NWP collection contains detailed correspondence and documentation of its voting rights efforts from 1913-1920. The League of Women Voters grew out of a rival organization of the NWP and its papers span 1920-1974.
