The IAWA was founded in 1985 with the aim of documenting the history of the professional work of architects and representatives of related professional groups. In the meantime, information on 650 architects and planners from the USA and worldwide has been recorded in a biographical database, while an image database provides access to digitized documents from the archive. The archive holdings are documented via an online inventory. The provision of new materials is expressly desired, which means that we can expect a continuous expansion of the databases.
