Dime novels were magazine novels published in the USA from the middle of the 19th century. They appeared sometimes weekly at reasonable prices in various series. The topics were a diverse mix. The classic, the Wild West adventure, was of course represented, as well as detective stories and stories that were specifically aimed at female readers.
