Das Informationsportal GERiT bietet auf Englisch und Deutsch einen Überblick zu rund 29.000 Instituten an deutschen Hochschulen und außeruniversitären Forschungseinrichtungen nach fachlichen, geografischen und strukturellen Kriterien.
In GERiT sind neben Kontaktdaten und Anfahrtsskizzen u.a. auch Informationen zur fachlichen Ausrichtung einer Institution und deren DFG-geförderten Forschungsprojekten zu finden. Zudem wird auf die Stellenportale vieler Hochschulen verwiesen und den Hochschulkompass der Hochschulrektorenkonferenz (HRK). Hier sind u.a. Promotionsordnungen einsehbar.
