BHA and RILA - Bibliography of the History of Art

The "Bibliography of the History of Art" is the standard bibliography on European art history. The database includes literature on European art from late antiquity to the present, American art from the European discoveries to the present, and Christian art from all parts of the world. In addition to the fine arts (architecture, sculpture, painting, graphics), decorative and applied art, industrial design and architecture, and folk art are also documented.
Numerous publication forms are listed (including articles from around 1,200 journals), monographs (including dissertations, exhibition catalogs, art trade directories) and conference contributions. The entries are provided with abstracts and accessed via various indices (including English and French keywords).
In addition to the BHA data from 1990-2007, the database also contains the data from the Répertoire International de la Littérature de lArt (RILA) from 1975-1989.
From 2008, BHA will be replaced by the licensed “International Bibliography of Art (IBA)” continued.
