Open Corporates, eine offene Datenbank mit Unternehmensdaten, enthält Daten zu über 40 Millionen Firmen aus über 50 Ländern und US-Bundesstaaten. Weiterhin beinhaltet sie Kooperationen zur britischen Regierung, der EU-Kommission und W3C.
Die Daten sind unter der Open Database License lizensiert, d.h. die Daten können genutzt, weitergegeben und bearbeitet werden unter Nennung der Quelle. (Hinweis aus Password, 2012, Heft 5, S. 24)
