The Italian bibliography of the history of science includes publications that were published in Italy between 1982 and 2011: monographs, articles, extracts from collecting works, reviews. Not included are articles that have been published in monthly magazines or in even less frequent publications, as well as publications for popular science or didactic purposes. The database contains approximately 68,000 bibliographical entries and comprises around 970 magazines. Thanks to the cooperation with the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale di Firenze (BNCF) and the Biblioteca della Scuola Normale di Studi Superiori di Pisa (BSNS), cataloging is based on the direct examination of the documents.
The bibliography is part of the History of Science, Technology and Medicine (HSTM).
The bibliographical data can be researched within the cumulative database.
