A main goal of the Austria on the Word project, which ended in 2012, was to make important holdings (audio, video and film sources) from the Austrian media library available via the Internet. The intention of the web implementation was to enable access to the source material that both meets scientific requirements and offers options to create simplified access to the source material using intuitive search techniques, a suggestion system and a timeline of the entire collection. Metadata from the Austrian Media Library catalog as well as background information can be found for each AV medium. (Video streaming portal / audio streaming portal)
