The Dictionaries of Linguistics and Communication Studies (WSK) Online database contains specialist dictionaries on all important sub-areas of linguistics and communication studies: grammar, word formation, historical linguistics, phonetics and phonology, written linguistics, dialectology, text linguistics, stylistics and discourse analysis, quantitative and formal linguistics, theories and methods in linguistics, lexicology and phraseology, language typology, cognitive grammar, language philosophy, language didactics: first language, second language, foreign language, onomastics, media studies. The articles are written either in German (with English translations of the lemma and definition) or in English (with German translations of the lemma and definition). The database is still under construction, the project, which includes a total of around 16,000 entries, is expected to be completed in 2025 (last updated on January 27, 2025 - over 15,000 articles are already online).
