Google Custom Search über die Online-Inhalte von über 670 weltweiten Denkfabriken (engl. „Think Tanks“). Der Anbieter hat Think Tanks als Institutionen definiert, die mit Universitäten, Regierungen, Interessenvertretungen, Stiftungen, Nichtregierungsorganisationen und Unternehmen verbunden sind, die öffentliche Politikforschung, -analyse und -aktivitäten betreiben. Die Auswahl der Denkfabriken erfolgte u. a. nach Einfluss und Politikgestaltung. Es handelt sich sowohl um parteizugehörige als auch parteiunabhängige Institutionen. Aus Deutschland sind u. a. folgende Institutionen mit Inhalten vertreten:
