Kiryat Sefer ist die Nationalbibliographie des Staates Israel und des jüdischen Volkes. Sie existiert seit 1925 und dokumentiert alle Materialien, die in Israel publiziert worden sind und in der Jüdischen National- und Universitätsbibliothek in Jerusalem nachgewiesen werden.
Außerdem umfasst Kiryat Sefer auch Judaica aus der ganzen Welt in allen Sprachen und seit 2001 auch elektronische Publikationen.
Die Datenbank beinhaltet bibliographische Beschreibungen für Monographien, Dissertationen, Periodika und Non-Print-Publikationen (CDs, Audio- und Videokassetten etc.).
Es gibt mehrere Suchmöglichkeiten: Über eine Browsing-Suche kann nach Autoren, Titeln sowie in der Klassifikation recherchiert werden. Außerdem gibt es eine einfache und eine erweiterte Suche.
