With baureka.online, the Chair of Architectural History at RWTH Aachen University, the Department of History of Architecture and Urbanism at TU Berlin and FIZ Karlsruhe are setting up a subject-specific digital portal for historical building research. Historical building research deals with built structures, their origins and their development from a historical perspective. Its scientific work is based in particular on the investigation of the actual building fabric. This results in large collections of mostly digital data, ranging from survey reports and point clouds to drawings and models derived from them, as well as photos, scans and maps.
