The standard work "Lexicon abbreviaturarum", named after its author Adriano Cappelli, contains Latin and Italian abbreviations of medieval texts:
Lexicon abbreviaturarum. Dizionario di abbreviature latine ed italiane. Milan 6th edition 1961 (ND: Milan 1990).
The Cappelli can be searched online in Ad fontes (Resources, Abbreviations). Spellings and thus any discrepancies were transferred to the online version exactly as they were in the printed Cappelli. For each abbreviation image, the digital copy of the corresponding Cappelli page is available (by clicking on the page number next to the image in the selection list). This means that you can quote directly from Ad fontes.
