The Repertorium Biblicum Medii Aevi, published between 1950 and 1980 in 11 volumes, lists all Bible commentary until 1500, as well as texts containing indirect biblical commentary. As a result, it lists nearly 24.000 commentaries, making up a substantial part of the textual religious tradition. The project is being realised by the University of Trier, namely the theological faculty (Prof. Dr. Klaus Reinhardt) in conjunction with the centre for electronic publishing, with funding from the German Research Society DFG. The goal of this digitisation project is to make this widely used reference work universally available for researchers around the world and to profit from the possibilities of electronic indexing for advanced searches. This is especially supposed to enable cross-referencing between the various entries. The search options allow you to filter by several parameters, like author, religious order, title, provenance, as well as offering full text search. Please note that the site is currently only available in German.
