The database contains information (factual text, photos, etc.) about around 31,580 bridges in the USA, which were built from 1697 to 2009. The spectrum includes both existing and no longer preserved bridge buildings of a wide variety of design types and intended purpose, as well as approx. 300 examples of the tunnel structures that are close to the surface.
A large number of search functions enable a differentiated query. The database with monument preservation is designed as an ongoing range of information and documentation, i.e. additions and updates with qualified foreign contributions are desirable.
