International Encyclopaedia for the Middle Ages

The International Encyclopaedia for the Middle Ages (IEMA) is published as a supplement and addition to the Lexikon des Mittelalters (LexMA) by the UCLA Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies and Brepols Publishers.
IEMA covers the period 300-1500 and covers Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

Since 2016, the Lexicon of the Middle Ages and IEMA have formed the jointly searchable database LexIEMA.
