Lexicon on events, people, places and myths of the Templar Order with background analyzes and images. Each article contains bibliographic information about the sources of the text and further literature. The individual articles in the lexicon can be accessed via a register.
In addition, the Templar Lexicon, with an overview of Templar branches, offers an insight into the spatial spread of the Templar Order in Europe, the Near East and the Eastern Mediterranean.
The project was founded in 1996 by Anke Napp and has been based at the Research Center for Comparative Religious History at TU Dresden since 2021.
