RP Photonics Encyclopedia / Rüdiger Paschotta

The RP Photonics Encyclopedia by Rüdiger Paschotta is a compilation of physical principles and important techniques in laser technology. It also covers core areas of fiber technology and nonlinear optics, as well as complementary topics such as ultrashort laser pulses, optical communication, general optics, optoelectronics and quantum optics. The encyclopedia is aimed at users in industry as well as researchers. The free online version on the RP Photonics Consulting GmbH website is based on the printed two-volume Encyclopedia of Laser Physics and Technology, which was published by Wiley-VCH in 2008. There is no German edition, but the online version offers a list of German keywords with a translation and a link to the article in the Encyclopedia.
