The database provides access to the digitized reports and appendices of the German Reichstag and its predecessors from the years 1867 to 1942:

Reichstag (North German Confederation/Zollparlamente) (1867-1895)
Reichstag of the German Empire (1895-1918)
Reichstag (Weimar Republic/National Socialism) (1918-1942)

The stenographic session reports represent one of the most important sources on modern German history. However, due to irregular and scattered registers, they are difficult to access and, moreover, they were hardly available in their entirety in any library.
For the first time, the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek offers a complete edition of the parliamentary session reports (including all appendices).
In order to improve the analysis facilities of the electronic source material as compared to the printed source, full-text subject indices and indices of speakers were acquired. In addition, a database of Reichstag members was set up, which is based on the full-text data of the digitised biographic compendiums and offers further access options to the source material.
