Das Werk bildet das elektronische Pendant zur gleichnamigen Print-Ausgabe: Aufbauend auf den Grundlagen der IASB-Rechnungslegung wird eine systematische Kommentierung der IAS/IFRS gegeben. Die 2. Auflage ist mit einer vollständigen Überarbeitung aller Beiträge und Kommentierungen sowie der Neukommentierung der zwischenzeitlich verabschiedeten IAS/IFRS auf dem neuesten Stand. Die Autoren gehen innerhalb der einzelnen Kommentierungen auch auf die vom IASB verfassten Interpretationen (SIC) ein und berücksichtigen die Deutschen Rechnungslegungs Standards (DRS).
Der vorliegende Kommentar setzt sich aus drei Teilen zusammen:

Grundlagen der Rechnungslegung nach IAS / IFRS
Systematische und auführliche Kommentierung aller Einzelbestimmungen
Umfangreicher Anhang: Checkliste für angabepflichtige Informationen sowie synoptische Darstellung von IAS/IFRS und HGB.
