The specialist catalog contains evidence information about the Egyptological literature acquired by UB Heidelberg. The entire relevant specialist literature including non-book media is collected for the old (pharaonic) Egypt. The field includes all aspects of the pharaonic high culture such as writing, language, art, archeology, history, etc., but also the Coptic language of the Christian Egypt and the Coptic Literature. The focus of Egyptology on UB Heidelberg is part of the program supported and financed by the German Research Foundation (DFG) for national literary care in the Federal Republic of Germany.
