arkuBiD ist eine Internetdatenbank zur Verwaltung und Bereitstellung von digitalen Bild-Dateien und den dazu gehörigen Meta-Daten, die speziell an die Bedürfnisse der Klassischen Archäologie, Kunstgeschichte und Christlichen Archäologie angepasst ist. Sie orientiert sich in ihrer Konzeption an den Bedürfnissen und Abläufen der analogen Diatheken in der Archäologie und Kunstgeschichte. Ihr Ziel ist es, dem Benutzer auf möglichst einfache Art und Weise Bilder zum Einsatz in Bildschirm- und Beamerpräsentationen im Rahmen von Forschung und Lehre zur Verfügung zu stellen.

Die Datenbank umfasst mittlerweile über 130.000 Bilder zu 24 Gattungen (Stand Juli 2014).
