Embase is the most extensive bibliographical database of medicine. It contains Medline completely and also evidence of international literature with a focus on Europe from all human medicine and its outskirts, especially pharmacy and drug research. Over 8,400 magazines from 90 countries are evaluated.
The database corresponds to the classic print publication Excerpta Medica. Clinical Trials from clinicaltrials.gov, will be added to Ovid Embase with a new "Clinical Trials" publication type limit starting May 2025.
