The content of the online version corresponds to the currently valid edition of the German Pharmacopoeia. The German Pharmacopoeia (DAB) consists of a general part with analysis methods, containers and their materials, reagents and overarching monograph groups as well as a special part with individual monographs.
The structure of the German Pharmacopoeia has been adapted to the European Pharmacopoeia (EAB). Little by little, “more and more texts are migrating from the DAB to the EAB, so that the DAB is shrinking. However, there will certainly always be a national pharmacopoeia for the regulations that do not apply across Europe.
