Franconica - das Sammlungsportal

Franconica presents unique manuscripts, rare prints and graphics from the special collections of the Wuerzburg University Library. Franconica is both directed at researchers and gives all interested individuals the opportunity to digitally experience the treasures of the Wuerzburg University Library and thus learn more about the origin and cultural-historical significance of the objects for the Mainfranken region.
Under Media you can find digitized manuscripts, incunabula, prints and graphics.
Collections gather objects that belong together in terms of content, such as the digitized manuscripts of the Wuerzburg Cathedral Library.
Franconica is currently under construction. The platform is maintained technically and thematically by the Wuerzburg University Library. Gradually, all objects located on the platforms Franconica Online and Virtuelle Bibliothek Wuerzburg will be migrated to Franconica.
