The database is based on the printed Incunabula Short-Title Catalogue of the British Library and currently lists 29,777 incunabula with international holdings. In addition to incunabula (i.e. printed before 1501), it also contains prints that have been newly dated to the 16th century. Where available, online accessible fakismile editions are linked.
