The KLG is the recognized standard work on contemporary German-language literature since 1945. The encyclopedia comprehensively describes current literary developments and also focuses on young writers.
The KLG contains more than 880 articles on the life and work of outstanding German-language authors - that corresponds to more than 14,000 printed pages. Biography, work and impact are each presented in detail, supplemented by extensive lists of works and secondary bibliographies.
The KLG is constantly updated and expanded.
