Der Internationale Kongress der Linguisten ist die größte und prestigeträchtigste Konferenz wissenschaftlicher Linguisten und wird alle 5 Jahre abgehalten. ICL XVI fand vom 20. bis 27. Juli 1997 in Paris statt und 1.400 Personen nahmen daran teil. Diese CD beinhaltet die Sitzungsprotokolle der Konferenz, einschließlich der Berichte über die Gespräche am runden Tisch. Man kann nach Titel, Autor und Zusammenfassung suchen. Mit mehr als 500 Artikel von Autoren aus 67 verschiedenen Ländern bietet diese Publikation einen umfassenden Überblick des Forschungsstandes über die ganze Disziplin.
